Requirements

Business Ownership or Senior Management-Owner (greater than 50%) with at least 3 out of last 5 years of management experience or Senior Manager with at least 3 out of last 5 years of management experience, supervising at least 3 staff .

Language Ability (English or French )- CLB 4 to 10.

Community Endorsement-Written endorsement from Charlottetown, Cornwall, or Stratford community.

Age 21 - 59.

Education-Master’s level or PhD,Post-secondary academic degree ,Post-secondary diploma.

The provincial government will no longer accept applications from immigrants looking to set up a business on Prince Edward Island in exchange for immediate permanent residency.

Government undertook the last draw to select applicants on September 20th . There are eight(8) applicants have been selected, and no more applications will be accepted moving forward. Prince Edward Island will continue to accept applications from individuals to come and open a business if they meet a series of controls proving the business is successful and continuously operational for at least a year. As is done in other jurisdictions across the country, only then would they be considered for permanent residency.
